Wear comfortable attire. \n\n\n\n\n\n【プログラム内容】\n金継ぎ講 義・実演\nポートランドよりお迎えする金継ぎ職人によ る講義と実演です。金継ぎの歴史や文化的背景、プロ セスについて学びながら、その技法を間近でご覧いた だきます。今回は時間に関する制限のため、参加者に よる体験ワークショップはございません。あらかじめ ご了承ください。\n淡交会55周年記念祝を兼ねた親睦ラ ンチ会\n講義終了後、BCAから車で5分以内の清水会長宅 へ移動し、ランチ会を開催いたします。呈茶はござい ませんが、地元ベーカリーのケーキをご用意しており ます。また、淡交会発足55周年を祝う会も兼ねています ので、長年にわたり淡交会シアトル協会の発展にご尽 力くださった会員へ感謝を表し、その歩みをともに振 り返る機会となれば幸いです。\n\nProgram\nKintsugi Lecture an d Demonstration\nA Kintsugi artisan from Portland will provide a lecture a nd live demonstration exploring the history\, philosophy\, and techniques of Kintsugi\, the Japanese art of repairing broken ceramics with lacquer a nd gold.\nPlease note that due to time limitations\, this event is a lectu re and demonstration only and will not include a hands-on workshop.\nFello wship Luncheon &\; 55th Anniversary Celebration\nFollowing the lecture\ , participants will carpool to President Shimizu’s residence\, located l ess than five minutes from BCA.\nA luncheon will be served\, followed by a special celebration marking the 55th anniversary of Tankokai. While a tea service will not be offered\, guests will enjoy cake from a local bakery. \nDuring the celebration\, we will recognize and honor members who have co ntributed to the growth and success of Tankokai over the years. We hope yo u will join us in expressing our appreciation for their dedication and ser vice.\n\n\n【漆に関する注意事項】\n金継ぎで使用する漆 は、未硬化の状態では、かぶれなどのアレルギー反応 を引き起こすことがあります。また、実演では可燃性 の溶剤であるテレビン油（テレピン油）を使用いたし ます。漆やテレビン油に敏感な方は、その蒸気により 皮膚の刺激や体調不良を感じる場合がありますので、 ご自身の体調やアレルギー歴をご考慮のうえ、ご参加 くださいますようお願いいたします。\n実演では、生漆 を塗布した後に講義を行い、その後、まだ硬化してい ない漆の表面に金粉を蒔く工程をご覧いただきます。\n なお、漆は完全に硬化すると（通常は数か月程度）、 安全に触れたり、食器として使用したりすることがで きます。漆アレルギーなどの理由で午前の講義への参 加が難しい方は、事前にイベントアクティビティ委員 会までお知らせください。午後の親睦ランチ会からご 参加いただけますので、どうぞご遠慮なくお申し出く ださい。\n\nお食事はカジュアルなバフェスタイルでご 用意いたします。アレルギーに対応していないお料理 が含まれる場合がございますので、あらかじめご了承 ください。\n\nイベント経費の大部分を昼食会が占めて おりますため、午後の親睦ランチ会からご参加の場合 も、参加費は40ドルとさせていただきます。ご理解のほ ど、よろしくお願いいたします。\n\nImportant Safety Informat ion Regarding Kintsugi Materials (Urushi Lacquer)\nWhen raw\, urushi lacqu er is toxic and can cause allergic reactions\, including skin rashes\, upo n contact. Turpentine\, a flammable solvent\, is also used during the demo nstration. Individuals who are highly sensitive to urushi or turpentine ma y experience skin irritation or feel unwell from exposure to the fumes.\nA t the beginning of the demonstration\, raw urushi lacquer will be applied and allowed to cure during the lecture. Gold powder will then be gently du sted onto the tacky lacquer. Although raw urushi can cause allergic reacti ons\, once it has fully cured—typically after a couple of months—it be comes completely safe to touch and is suitable for use with food.\n\n\nMem bers who are unable to attend the Kintsugi session because of urushi lacqu er allergies or other sensitivities are welcome to join us for the afterno on luncheon only. If this applies to you\, please notify the Membership Ac tivities Committee in advance.\n\nThe meal will be served in a casual\, bu ffet-style setting. Please note that some dishes may not be prepared to ac commodate specific food allergies.
